Around the Church of St Nicholas and Büchel
If you’re coming into Aachen by bus, it’s best to get off at the Bus Station – it’s centrally located and all bus lines stop there. From there it’s just a stone’s throw to Großkölnstraße.
On the way up to the Market Place you’ll find lots of shops on both sides for high fashion, young fashion, witty presents and sporting goods. Halfway up, you’ll also find the City Church of St Nicholas – a popular meeting place and hip venue.
Your route then continues in the direction of Büchel, where small boutiques await you with big brands – individual fashion advice included. Alternative fashion stores and shops with offbeat gift ideas can be found on Dahmengraben, and so can their eccentric clientele.
By the way, Großkölnstraße and Büchel both have car parks with ample parking spaces, in case you want to use your car as a “shopping cart”.
