Aachen’s combined transport authority services the municipal regions of Aachen, Düren and Heinsberg. Every quarter of an hour, Bus No. 50 travels from Aachen to Maastricht and back. The ticket is only available directly from the bus drivers of the No. 50 buses and allow you to take two children under 12 with you free of charge. The names of the bus stops in Aachen are “Hauptbahnhof”, “Theater” and “Schanz”.

The Euregiobahn (RB20)

International rail services
Aachen is connected to the international rail network. Every two hours, the high-speed THALYS connecting Paris and Cologne stops in Aachen (tickets can be purchased via the Thalys website and at Köln Hauptbahnhof – Cologne Main Railway Station).

There are direct connections to the German cities of Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Siegen, Frankfurt/Main and Hamm. Aachen is also connected to the Dutch rail network by an hourly train to Heerlen.
